The 4th Flat, simply put, is amazing. With exposed brick throughout, a formal dining room with a built in wine bar and a huge skylight, walls with floor to ceiling windows, and a fire place in the living room--this Flat truly is The Retreat. The 750 square foot one bedroom apartment has been designed with a luxurious mid century modern feel in shades of gray, and is evocative of an era defined by elegance and romance. The sumptuous king sized bed is the center piece of a gorgeous bedroom, with views of the Willamette Valley Vineyards Wine Center below.
The flat has free wifi; a flat screen tv; air conditioning; ipod docking station; a bathroom with shower; fabulous linens & bed; bamboo floors throughout; recycled papertstone counters in the kitchen; and of course complimentary local Pinot Noir and Sea Salt Caramels from Honest Chocolates waiting for you upon your arrival.
Guests will also enjoy an in-flat book exchange compliments of Third Street Books. And don't forget to check out all the other perks that come with a stay at Third Street Flats.
Like our other flats, The Retreat features original works from a local artist. This flat features a single photographer, Sandi Colvin, whose works depict the scenes from the street below the flat.
Located in the heart of McMinnville’s Historic Downtown, the 4th Flat is just steps from the best dining, sipping and shopping the Yamhill Valley has to offer.
Use our calendar of local events and festivals to help plan your stay. Thinking of a weekend away this summer? Arrive a few days early and enjoy our vibrant Farmer’s Market on the street below Third Street Flats (Thursdays, May through September, 1:30-6:00), and a free outdoor concert (noon, a block away in the US Bank Plaza).
From our Guest Book. . .
"Sitting in the lap of luxury, stars twinkling in the trees and sky, the hum of the City outside (not too loud) a gentle fireplace and a soft rug on my bare feet, why would I want to leave this room, this flat? But I must. There are wines to be tasted, shops to visit, musicians to tip, stories to write. . . Sometime a travel writer finds her center in a perfect spot and doesn't ever want to move. That was me, here, now." Gail, Oregon
"What a beautiful flat-it was so hard to leave we even stayed in for our 12th Anniversary! Having the market across the street was perfect. A great location to enjoy the wineries. We'll definitely recommend and hopefully get to come back!" Joe & Denelle, Missouri
"This place is beautiful! Having our wedding photos in this room and being able to stay here our first night as husband and wife was incredible. Thank you for your efforts in making that happen!" Jenni & Bjorn, Oregon
*We offer a 15% discount on a one week stay and 20% discount for two week stays. Contact us for rates on longer term rentals. Discounts will not appear at booking, but will be updated manually the following day through our booking engine.
