Thursdays, Memorial Day through Mid-October. . .

The McMinnville Farmer’s Market brings farm fresh produce, wine, live music and artisan vendors together on the street below 3rd Street Flats to thoroughly celebrate the agricultural abundance of the Yamhill Valley.  The Market gets started at 1:00 pm, but the fun starts an hour earlier with a Brown Bag Concert down the Street at the US Bank Plaza.

The UFO Festival and Alien Costume Parade are out of this world experiences! McMinnville is home to the world’s second largest UFO celebration, thanks in fact to a famous UFO sighting on the Trent farm in the 1950’s. ‘Alien Daze’ is as whimsical and fun as any festival can get-and since it’s in McMinnville, it features plenty of alien themed wine and food!

The Annual Garden Tour & Faire highlights the lush horticultural abundance of McMinnville by offering participants a chance to tour the best private local gardens AND to celebrate gardening with a fair that fills the street below 3rd Street Flats. Vendors from local artisan nurseries bring their wares, as do garden artists of all types.

McMinnville’s annual Turkey Rama festival is a nod to the area’s past fame as the turkey raising capital of the world. A blight wiped out the birds decades ago, but the fun-filled festival remains with street vendors, a classic car show, carnival, the World’s Largest Turket BBQ, and the ‘Turkey Trot’ run.

The Oregon Lavender Festival is a summer event not to miss. Dozens of local lavender farms open their doors to guests with tours and lavender themed activities. Lavender enthusiasts can also enjoy the Lavender Fair at Buelah Park, just down the road in Yamhill. The Plien Air Art show features lavender themed art and vendors provide an amazing array of booths.

The International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC) is a world famous three day celebration of Pinot Noir, drawing pinot enthusiasts from around the globe. Seminars, tours and of course lots and lots of wine and food make this a one of a kind international celebration.

One weekend a year folks of all ages flood downtown to watch cars inch a along, filled to the brim with people of all ages celebrating this particular bit of Americana.

Named one of the Top 10 food and wine festivals by readers of USA Today and 10Best, Bounty of Yamhill County lines up three days of culinary adventures that offer unique opportunities to savor the farm-to-table flavors of the Willamette Valley.
